Evening Steward Supervisor Desired- Zuma NY (Midtown East)

We are currently recruiting for a PM Stewarding Supervisor to join the family in the award winning Zuma New York.

Zuma is a contemporary Japanese izakaya restaurant with a modern twist on the traditional style of informal dining. In your role, you will be responsible for leading a stewarding team in partnership with the Culinary Management team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are set-up for service while maintaining designated areas throughout the day. This person will also supervise and train the stewarding team to include: proper sanitation, knowledge of MSDS sheets, safe working environment, safety regulations and guidelines, fire safety/emergency procedures, proper chemical usage, and safety.

The successful candidate must…
* Be able to active at all times. Remain calm during periods of heavy business volumes to meet demands of the business.
* Be able to work a versed schedule including early morning, nights, weekends and holidays.

* Be well versed in proper health and sanitation guidelines.
* Be agile, lifting up to 50lbs. On a regular basis, stand for up to 8 hours consecutively. Able to bend, stoop, reach, walk, squat and stretch to fulfil tasks.
* Be able to operate all necessary equipment.
* Have a solid command of the English language both verbal and written.

Bi-lingual Spanish is highly desired.
