NOW HIRING FOH COUNTER ATTENDANT AT NY STYLE PIZZERIA

Position Summary: MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND POSSIBLY WEEKNIGHTS. Fast paced pizzeria located in north Dallas in the busy Farmers Branch/Addison area just 1 mile away from the Dallas Galleria. Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers. Assist with food preparation, fill and rotate salad bar and dessert display and perform cleaning duties. Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to: ● Control food usage to minimize waste.

● Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.

● Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assists in receiving items and taking inventory as required.

● Restock items as needed through the shift.

● Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the state and local Health Board inspection and company requirements.

● Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters.

● May assist by performing ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed.

● Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. May occasionally interact directly with guests.

● Perform more than one task at a time ● Places pizza slices, calzones, and strombolis in oven and remove after designated time period or visually determines readiness of pizza/calzones. ● Removes soiled dishes from tables and carries to kitchen; washes, and sterilizes flatware, glassware, dishes and cooking utensils by hand or machine, as required.

● Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition, adhering to all sanitary rules and regulations. Keeps counter and other equipment and appliances clean and sanitary.
● Serves customers at counter; receives orders and serves foods
● May operate cash register; computes charges, collects and accounts for cash.
● Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working environment
● Provide friendly and efficient customer service by demonstrating sincerity, patience and respect in all customer interactions and by thanking customers for their business.
● Greet customers in a genuine and friendly manner throughout the store and assist them by escorting them to products, loading/unloading heavy items and helping them to retrieve out of reach items.
● Effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions and requests in a timely manner.
● Proper phone etiquette when taking orders over the phone
● Must speak fluent English
● Reliable when it comes to attendance at work and communication with the staff
