Dining Servers for Luxury Health Center (Carlsbad)

GlenBrook Health Center is currently hiring part-time Servers to work days and evenings. The Server is responsible for table service within the Dining Room and other areas where dining functions occur, ensuring the highest standards of customer service are being achieved. This is a position with excellent benefits and steady hours, however there are no tips.

•Provide excellent service to several tables in any section of the Dining Room, taking orders and providing service both graciously and courteously.
•Learn the menus and provide detailed information to Residents and Staff regarding ingredients, allergens and item origins.
•Help meet department standards by working with kitchen staff to ensure the best quality food is served to the Residents.
•Communicate and interact with other Kitchen employees including Chefs and Cooks.
•Work with management to coordinate and execute special functions and large parties. These duties will also require knowledge of event set-up and operations.

Qualifications:
•Experience as a Waiter/Server in a hotel, full service restaurant, country club and/or banquet hall strongly preferred.
•Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
•Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
•High school graduate.
•Must meet requirement of hours as a full time employee.
•Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
