KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Restaurant Manager of Credo will work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the restaurant and Credo events. This person will assist with recruitment, training, supervising and mentoring all front of the house staff including servers, runners, bus persons, bartenders, and hosts. They will also assist the Sales & Events Managers with the production and execution of Credo events, both on the property and off-site.

LEADERSHIP
• Be knowledgeable of the history of Credo and Merchants Exchange Productions
• Be knowledgeable with regards to hours of operation, all food and beverage items (ingredients, presentations, etc…), daily specials, restaurant special events
• Work in conjunction with the Credo Management team during each meal service greeting, interacting, fostering relationships, etc. with all guests
• Have a constant presence on the floor during service
• Oversee private events – maintaining service and client satisfaction throughout the event
• Have a hands-on approach – lead by example
• Handle guest requests and/or complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Work with culinary team to provide consistent food quality and appearance

GUEST RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION
• Be knowledgeable and aware of “who” is in the restaurant at all times. Work with the MEP administrative assistants and Credo hosts to ensure open table guest profiles are researched and guest notes are updated on a regular basis
• Engage in polite conversation with guests, creating a personal dining experience
• Build and maintain relationships with concierges and peers from within the industry in the immediate area
• Maintain an open line of communication with the management team of Credo and MEP

STAFF AND TRAINING
• Preach the “excellence reflex” to staff so that all team members are always striving to do better and be better
• Uphold pre-established service standards, accountability measures and incentives for all team members. Sustain on-going training topics that encompass all areas of hospitality
• Conduct pre-shift meeting prior to each meal service that engages all team members
• Motivate team members to provide a hospitality “experience” with excellent guest service
• Create and foster a positive and proactive environment for both team members and guests

ADMINISTRATIVE
• Attend weekly Credo management and BEO meetings
• Assist Credo Management with scheduling, POS maintenance, reconciliation of tip outs/ banks
• Assist with par level maintenance for dry goods, beverages and supplies
• Other duties as necessary/requested by Credo Management

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 2 years experience in a high-end restaurant/bar management position. Previous experience as a server, runner, bus person and/or bartender is desirable
• Knowledgeable about beer, wines and spirits of the world. Level 1 Introductory Course from the Court of Master Sommeliers is desirable
• Current California food handlers certificate required
• High level of professionalism and positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent English oral and written skills
• Professional attire, polished appearance
• Proven self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail, organized and able to prioritize
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Aloha POS, OpenTable
• Stamina to work 10+ hours a day, standing and walking for a large portion of the shift
• Weekly schedule flexibility which will include, days, evenings, weekends, holidays and nonconsecutive days off as dictated by the restaurants operational hours as well as the event/catering schedule
