Line Cook – Ippudo San Francisco (Ramen Restaurant)

Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparation of all basic skill level dishes according to company recipes, customer orders, and local health regulations. This position operates all kitchen equipment, such as the range, oven, knives, slicer, and processor in a safe manner. Under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager, the Line Cook may train and develop hourly staff to ensure smooth kitchen operation and assist in ways to improve cooking processes.


Education and Experience:
– Adhere to food safety requirement

Food Safety:
– Food Handlers Card

Store Conditions:
– Counter areas often hot with steam and food vapors
– Hot kitchens with high noise levels
– Limited work space depending on location
– Varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business needs

Physical Requirements:
– Frequent walking and standing for long periods of time
– Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
– Occasionally reaches high storage shelving with the use of step ladder
– Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
– Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
– Performs repetitive tasks
– Works efficiently in a fast paced environment with hot and cold foods and beverage
