SERVICE STAFF (west marin)

WE ARE PRESENTLY HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

-CASHIER
This is the “lead-server” position in our restaurant. You are responsible for greeting guests upon arrival; knowing the menu thoroughly for information and salesmanship; taking orders at the counter; accurately recording the orders (we use Square) for the kitchen; opening or closing duties (depending on the shift); assisting with running, bussing, sidework and other typical duties.

– FOOD RUNNER
This is the “other half” of the typical server duties: preparing beverages; delivering orders; providing professional, hospitable follow-up service; bussing tables; typical cleaning/sidework duties.

The cashier, food-runner and manager-on-duty work together to execute the warm, professional and friendly service that Side Street Kitchen is committed to providing. The restaurant space is small and intimate and our staff is responsible for upholding our standards of excellence. We have really wonderful people working together in this endeavor!
We invite you to be a part of a successful team of restaurant professionals. Work in a brand-new, completely remodeled spot (formerly the Pine Cone Diner) that serves high quality food at a quick pace in a bright, clean and creative space. The service style is “fast-casual” (order at the counter) with extra-added follow-up service and professionalism. We offer a menu of local and heritage meats accompanied by a variety of local produce, for dine-in and take-out. Hours of operation are 11am-8pm, 7 days per week. (11am-7pm in winter).

Applicants should have excellent customer service aptitude which includes friendly personality; attention to detail; ability to work clean and efficiently; a quick, energetic demeanor; willingness to work as a true “team” and cross-train in multiple positions; availability on nights, weekends and holidays. (Some part-time options can be explored but holidays are a must. That said, we do close the restaurant for Thanksgiving and Christmas.) A familiarity with the Point Reyes area is preferred but not required.

We are so excited to have opened this family-friendly restaurant in a beautiful area and are looking forward to continuing to build our staff with the best and brightest.

Some experience in hospitality or retail is preferred but are perfectly willing to train the right, bright individual with a great attitude.
