Train & Earn is a full time program for young adults (ages 16-24) who are not in school and not working and would like to earn skills to be competitive in the workforce. Candidates get a stipend for completing certifications and employment readiness training, as well as access to metrocards!

In Train & Earn You Can Obtain:

– ServSafe Certificate
– Customer Service Certificate
– Microsoft Office Certificate (Note: must score 9.0 in reading, 6.0 in math on TABE to qualify for MOS)
– Opportunity for Food Handler’s Licensure
– 100 Hour Paid Internship
– Employment Readiness Training
– Academic Tutoring and Services
– 1 full year of Education/Career Counseling

Candidates Must Meet the Following Requirement:

– Must be 16-24 (Note: any candidate under 18 must have guardian consent)
– Reside in the 5 boroughs
– Cannot have a job and/or be enrolled in school/programming during program hours
– Cannot have a job or be enrolled in school at the time of application
– Must be legally able to work in the United States
– Meet required TABE score
– Meet funder eligibility
– Show an interest in employment readiness and certifications
