ABOUT OUR POSITION
Our Sous Chef overall responsibility for assisting the Executive Chef with management of the kitchen operations and supervision of kitchen colleagues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Supervise the day to day operations of the Dirty Habit restaurant kitchen in partnership with our Executive Chef
– Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction; handle problem escalation as necessary
– Train, counsel and discipline restaurant colleagues
– Seek continual improvement for the restaurant operation
– Comply with all policies, procedures and regulations that relate to the restaurant and local, state and federal laws

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
– 3-5 years of progressive management experience in Food & Beverage operations
– CA Food Handler Card, required
– High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
– Strong knowledge of and enthusiasm for food and beverage operations
– Displays a strong hands-on approach; thrives in customer interactions
– Thinks critically and objectively; has excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands
– Has a passion for hospitality and guest service
– Has progressive career experience in Food and Beverage
– Understands and applies California labor and wage and hour laws
– Is technologically savvy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
