Open Cashier Position (Bedford-Stuyvesant)

Jamaican restaurant seeking individuals serious about hospitality, customer service, CLEANING

– Must have a working understanding of Caribbean/Jamaican cooking terms, practices and recipes
– provide exceptional customer service.
– Full time only
– Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed

DUTIES
• To promote the restaurant in a positive manner and maintain the high standard.
• To take full responsibility for opening and closing procedures at all time and to ensure a well-stocked refrigerator according to established par levels.
• Communicate with customers using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
• Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity, serving as a role model for the bar team and other employees. Interact with other department personnel and restaurant staff as needed.
• Responsible for bank and daily small cash change
• Prepares and serves non-alcoholic drinks/soup/uber orders consistent with our standardized recipes
• Learn names and personally recognize regulars
