Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Immediate Open
Performs a variety of cooking, food perpetration and serving tasks for the guests of St. Vinnys Bistro, located in the Courtyard at Haven for Hope.
Preparation of meals on a large scale – batch cooking.
Follow recipe and menu plans as scheduled.
Maintain and ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations, health codes.
Follow standards for all food preparation, safety and sanitation as well as ensuring that accident principles are implemented in all training meetings.
1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Maybe long periods of confined standing, bending, reaching, and operation of kitchen equipment when necessary.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $10.00 to $12.00 /hour
