Service Attendant – Housekeeper (Downtown Seattle)

This position will work at the job location: Hyatt Regency in Seattle, on 808 Howell Street.

Responsibilities and duties: This position is trained in and responsible for a variety of cleaning duties, practices and procedures, and works in a variety of environments, mainly in housekeeping, but will be scheduled in stewarding, laundry, general public areas, kitchens, etc. as needed. This individual needs to be flexible, willing to learn, able to follow instructions, and able to train in different departments. This individual will need to work within a team and also independently at times. Must be available for various shifts, able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Experience: Prefer at least 6 months to 1 year or more of housekeeping experience in a similar size property

Language: Prefer individuals who are intermediate to fluent in English, both written and verbal

Residency: Prefer individuals who have relocated to the state of Washington, and are able to commute to the property (located in downtown Seattle) on time consistently

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to properly learn and use hand cleaning tools and machines, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Work outside and inside; on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, ladders, and scaffolding; and around machinery with moving parts. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noises, fumes, and toxic chemicals.
