What is SPRO?
Spro (aka barista slang for ‘espresso’) is commonly used jargon within the coffee community. We’re a new company established in 2017; though we’ve been in the specialty coffee industry for over a decade. The usage of the term ‘spro’ was generally discouraged because it was thought that customers would not understand our terminology. Since our brewing style is somewhat unique to us, we want to break that tradition and introduce lingo that we baristas use everyday.

What are you looking for?
We’re looking for people that are passionate about food and coffee like ourselves. We’re a team of driven individuals that believe in delivering our best and making a difference in the Specialty Coffee industry. Experience or not, we welcome people with the same mindset. There’s something extremely romantic and therapeutic about making a delicious cup of coffee, knowing that you’ve figured out the way it SHOULD taste, serving it and knowing that people will really enjoy their drink.

We’re a fast growing company looking for full-time as well as part time baristas. If you are hardworking, driven, pays attention to detail and have passion to deliver your very best, then this is the job for you. We believe in the the science of things, crave experiences over possessions, and most importantly bringing people together through great coffee. We do study and practice the science of coffee and food, so come with an open mind!

Currently, we’re looking for PM shifts (2p – 10p) but also looking for AM shifts (5am) or mid day shift (10a-6p). Please inquire to see if you have the ability we’re looking for. Open schedules are preferred.

What if I don’t know anything about coffee/food?
Perfectly fine as long as you’re willing to learn and have a passion to deliver your best. Being prideful about your work makes all the difference.

What is the pay like?
We offer full time and part time positions, the company is growing fast and expanding. Our baristas wages start at $16 per hour and earn generous tips. Tips are distributed based on hours worked and issued weekly. Hourly paychecks are issued bi-weekly. A standard review and raise are offered every 6 months.
