Bakery Restaurant Positions (Encinitas)

ATTENTION: We are located in Encinitas. If this is too far, consider this BEFORE you apply. We currently have part-time positions, and full-time positions available. ALL positions require a current food handler card.

We are a classic American, comfort food bakery cafe specializing in pies, cakes, cookies and bars! We will be transitioning into more of a sit down, full-service, restaurant offering our savory pies, soups, and some delicious classic dishes that will warm the bellies and hearts of our patrons!

Front of the house positions- We are looking for cashiers, and waitstaff. Are you smiley, happy and quick on your feet? Do you LIKE people? Must be able to multi-task and enjoy helping customers. Part-time hourly plus tips. Must be available to work on weekends, and near major holidays.

Kitchen positions require that you be able to lift at least 50lbs and be able to stand for 8 hours.
Baker/prep- Must be available on Sundays,have experience baking in a professional kitchen,and have the ability to follow recipes accurately. Brownies, cookies, cheesecakes, pies, bars, coffee cakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, scones…we make em’.

Savory Team!
Some of the job responsibilities would include the following: Making sauces, doughs, chopping vegetables, and of course assembling pies! Please be able to work clean and organized. Pay is DOE. Full-time and part-time available. Morning shifts start at 5am-1:30p.m. and evening shifts of 1:30p.m.-9 p.m.

Cake Decorator- Part-time. Candidates must be able to decorate a professional cake and have real COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE working in a BAKERY. Home-based business experience, and Culinary school alone is not acceptable, sorry. We are looking for someone fast, efficient, and creative. You must be able to work with real buttercream, not shortening based buttercream. Fondant, gumpaste, Swiss meringue, and ganache are all mediums that we use at the bakery. Please have photos pasted into the body of your response. If you do have photos you must be able to back them up with a bench test. We are looking for level, smooth cakes, with artistic flair. We want you to succeed, and if you are excellent at what you do…we want to hear from you! Higher level of skill means more money for you! $13-$16 an hour + commission on wedding cakes, and custom cakes. Delivery and set up bonuses as well.

DISHWASHER / LAVAPLATOS: Part-time. Responsibilities: Wash dishes by hand in a three compartment sink., remove trash, and general cleaning. Must have a neat appearance and recent dishwashing experience in a fast paced restaurant. Must be punctual, reliable, organized, hard working, able to follow instructions and a schedule, must be able to work independently, and work quickly and efficiently.
