Summary of our business: At Verzenay Patisserie, we make handcrafted baked goods, pastries, with no artificial ingredients! We currently supply to hotels, sell at gourmet store fronts and also sell in the Chicago’s Green City Market in Lincoln Park area.

Job Description:
General Pastry, Baker position:($13-$14) per hour with, depending on your experience and expertise – at least 35+ hrs/week) in Elk Grove Village, IL. Experience in baking and/or pastry environment is required.

Duties and Responsibilities: As a Baker or Pastry Assistant, your work includes, but not limited to:
• Working closely with the Pastry Chef and also working independently.
• Be willing to learn and pick up our approach to baked goods and pastries.
• This position will require being comfortable piping, mixing, blending the baked and pastry products (macarons, cakes, quiche, etc).
• Preparing and measuring ingredients.
• Assisting the pastry chef/owner.
• Cleaning the kitchen and dishes.
• With your experience as in Pastry and Baking, you will be making the entire product from scratch, but training will be provided.
• Must be willing to learn and perform multiple tasks in this business.

Salary: $13.00 to $14.00 /hour
