Barista – Starbucks (FLV)

JOB SUMMARY:

Creates the Starbucks Experience by providing customers with prompt service, quality specialty coffee drinks and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greets guests in a friendly, upbeat, and positive manner using the guest’s name when possible.

• Personalizes every interaction with guest including the good-byes by inviting guests back and cross-selling other outlets.

• Anticipates guest needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues.

• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that co-workers can locate resources and products as needed.

• Familiarizes self with all items on the menu and explains beverages when necessary.

• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.

• Becomes knowledgeable of monthly specials and all Starbucks products to be able to communicate to guests.

• Accepts responsibility for cash register bankroll, all cash received, charge card and complimentary receipts.

• Receives, records, and makes change for all beverage guest checks processed.

• Maintains the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties.

• Responds to telephone calls and uses computerized cash register.

• Completes all necessary paper work and floor plans at the beginning of each shift.

• Provides information for guests who may have questions concerning Harrah’s.

• Capable of training in different outlets for future advancement in Food and Beverage
