Job Title: Assistant Manager
Department: Restaurant Operation
Report to: General Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

General Position Summary
This position is responsible to ensure employees perform a variety of tasks in addition, this position is required for hiring and trainings of restaurant employees.

Essential Job Functions

Restaurant Management

•Handles and manages reservations.
•Handles questions and/or claims from customers.
•Assist in developing new menus.
•Seeks improvement of hospitalities and customer services, such as choice of fishes and suggestion of food and drinks based on customers’ seafood choices.
•Handles administrative activities of restaurant related operations.
•Assists managing stocks/inventories of drinks and supplies. Orders drinks and supplies.

Operation Management

•Plans and executes marketing activities such as advertisements and promotions.
•Oversees and ensures compliances of food safety, safety, health, and other related regulations.
•Communicates and/or negotiates with customers, employees on restaurant matters.
•Solves any issues of the restaurant.

Employee Management

•Responsible for hiring and training activities. This position may perform or oversees these activities.
•Assists with shift schedules of all restaurant employees, including temporary employees.
•Assists and directs employee trainings to ensure updating employees’ knowledges.
•Reviews employees’ performances.
•Handles employee disciplinary actions, including employment termination.

Other Job Duties
•Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
•Reports all irregular issues and problems to management and works to resolve those issues.
•Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION
•Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Hospitality Management degree is preferable. Equivalent combination of education and experience are acceptable.

EXPERIENCE
•Between 1 to 2 years’ experience of restaurant management preferred.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
•General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, scanner, personal computer, calculator, etc.
•Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office applications

Work Hours:
12pm-11pm
5 days a week including weekends.

Other:
Salary $55-58K or more Depending on experience
