Cook Needed for Luxury HOA!


Prepare and cook meals that will delight the customer with their taste and timely delivery, maintaining and enhancing the quality of our customer service. Duties and Essential Functions:

  • Work at the direction of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef

  • Set-up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat

  • Cook food in various utensils, grills or fryers

  • Assembled dishes to serve according the menu description

  • Ensure proper presentation by dressing dishes before they are served

  • Check quality of ingredients

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen

  • Approach all interactions with residents, guests and co-workers in a positive and courteous manner


Work Environment:

  • Kitchen environment can be hot, noisy and stressful, especially during the busiest hours

  • Adhere to dress code identified by Executive Chef to ensure a safe and efficient work atmosphere

  • Hours of operation include nights, weekends and holidays

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand throughout shift. Possess excellent physical condition and stamina

  • Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Requires auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written or oral instructions and procedures

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while getting along with co-workers

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time exempt position.  The work schedule will likely change throughout the year to accommodate the business needs of the property.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a kitchen as a cook or related position

  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware

  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking and boiling

  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere

  • Very good communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent or a diploma from a culinary school
