The Ben is seeking a talented and versatile Assistant Restaurant Manager to open our roof top, pool side restaurant Spruzzo and develop a strong team of service minded professionals in the Front of House.  Your role will be pivotal in bringing The Ben to life and telling the story of this amazing property though your team sharing the story of the rich history The Ben brings to life enhanced by our attention to detail in design, character and elevated food and beverage offerings.  Spruzzo, the Ben’s roof top pool side bar, lounge & restaurant, offering lunch and drinks all day, private cabana experience and evening lounge experience featuring progressive cocktails and tapas style dining.

The Ben pays homage to the historic pioneers in lodging, Byrd and Fred Dewey who operated the Ben Trovato Estate back in the last 1800’s.  Their home provided accommodations and socialization for dignitaries such as the Vanderbilt’s, Woodrow Wilson and more. This waterfront hotel combines all the elegance of Palm Beach with the luxuries of today’s traveler.  The hotel, opening in early January, will feature a rooftop experience unlike any other hotel in the city with a near 4,000 square foot ballroom, plus lounge and pool deck with private cabanas. All with the direct views of Palm Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The Role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager for Spruzzo will work with the Restaurant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage to ensure the restaurant operations meet the expectations set for service standards, guest satisfaction and quality of product.  The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist the Restaurant Manager in all day to day operations of Spruzzo including morning pool operations, Day time lunch service and evening lounge and dinner service and will act as the Manager on Duty in lieu of the Restaurant Manager.   The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be expected to lead and develop the Spruzzo team through a strong passion for hospitality.

The candidate best suited for this role provides excellent leadership and mentorship to their team. They can quickly identify top talent through recruiting and screening and are capable of training associates to reach and surpass their potential. This leader is someone that promotes celebration in the workplace of a job well done and at all times provides the example of a strong, confident, engaging and FUN leader. Experience with managing beverage and labor costs, associate payroll and department expenses is key.  This leader adheres to company policies on documentation and discipline as well as supports our company culture of diversity and inclusion, work life balance and reward and recognition. Our Assistant Restaurant Manager can work flexible work hours with management coverage on required nights and weekends or as business demands.
