Position Overview & Responsibilities
A prestigious and award winning restaurant group known for its prime steaks and fresh, flavorful seafood is in need of a talented Chef de Cuisine to join their Culinary Team. If you have a passion for scratch cooking and are talented enough to handle a high volume, fine dining kitchen, this could be a great opportunity for you! You will be responsible for the flawless execution of an eclectic menu ranging from Traditional American Classics to Local and Regional Favorites, overseeing a team of Sous Chefs and BOH staff and ensuring an unparalleled guest experience with every plate.Your talents and input will also be leveraged to create seasonally inspired menu items, working with closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary Director to ensure consistency and quality.
In return for your service, you will receive a competitive salary up to $65,000 plus industry best benefits.
This is not a corporate chain and there is definitely plenty of room for growth and advancement as this Independent Restaurant Group is continuing to grow and open new, award winning locations.
- Oversee day-to-day culinary operations of a high volume, scratch made kitchen
- Supervise team of Sous Chefs and BOH staff, including scheduling and controlling labor costs
- Coordinate food and kitchenware orders, controlling costs appropriately
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients
- Development of seasonal menu items
- Standardize recipes and execute flawless plate presentations
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests

Position Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of previous experience as an executive chef, executive sous chef or chef de cuisine in a fine dining, full service restaurant (volume of $5M+)
- Experience with scratch cooking, including breaking down proteins
- Knowledge of cost and labor systems
- Passion for food and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Fresh Seafood and Raw Bar experience a plus
