Line Cook (PartTime) – Embassy Suites Sacramento

The Embassy Suites Sacramento Riverfront Promenade is looking for a Part Time Line Cook.


Weekend and holiday availability required. Line Cook experience with both hot and cold line experience is highly preferred so prior experience as a roundsman, sautee cook, saucier, grill cook and garde manger is highly desirable.

What will I be doing?

As a Cook, you would be responsible for preparing cold food items in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare cold food items including, but not limited to, salads, fruits, dressings, fish items and appetizers, according to designated recipes and quality standards

  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times

  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

  • Ensure knowledge of menu and food products

  • Stock and maintain designated food stations(s)

  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen

  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional cooking experience.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Food Safety permit or ability to obtain one upon employment

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 1 year of professional cooking experience.
  • Availability to work a dinner shift on weekdays, weekends, and holidays between the hours of 3pm-11pm
  • Ability to work a full shift (8 hours) walking and standing with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Food Safety permit or ability to obtain one upon employment
