SUMMARY

Position: Barista

Full-time AND Part-time, Weekend Availability Required

Hotwire Online Coffee House is looking for a friendly, customer service-oriented barista with 1-2 years of independent coffee shop and retail experience.

WHO WE ARE
Hotwire is an independent coffee shop in the West Seattle neighborhood that provides high quality beverages and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We have a large loyal customer base and strong presence in the community. We participate in neighborhood events such as West Seattle Art Walk, West Seattle Summer Fest the Annual Day of Giving and donate to local non-profits and schools. We have a dedicated staff that looks to expand our customer base daily through friendly, relationship-oriented, quality service. We have a passion for what we do and it’s apparent in our interactions! We have won the “Best coffee shop in West Seattle” several times and are committed to continuing a high level of service that meets and exceeds the needs of our customers. HOURS OF OPERATION AND SHIFTS
We offer a very flexible schedule and are supportive of those that are pursuing their passions along-side serving our customers. Our hours work very well with college students or people who need good schedule flexibility. We do require every staff member to work at least one weekend shift, or to have availability and willingness to work weekends.

HOURS:

M-F, 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Sat-Sun, 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

WHO YOU ARE
A customer-service minded individual with a passion for delicious coffee beverages, the willingness to share warmth and community with complete strangers and the ability to manage a high-volume flow of banter, pastry slinging and foamy goodness. You realize that community is just as important as an amazing cup of coffee and are drawn toward conversation and connection with customers.

Reliable, punctual, and motivated
Ability to multi-task effectively
Commitment to taking an active role in building our HOTWIRE COMMUNITY

TRAINING
We do require that all new hires go through a rigorous training period for drink preparation. Considering this, we do not support short-term or seasonal hiring.

WHAT’S REQUIRED:

1 year of barista-specific experience
2 years of customer service experience in a high-volume environment
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION
