School Cafeteria Openings: WE ARE HIRING! SE HABLA ESPANOL!

KIPP Texas Public Schools is hiring cafeteria staff for our Austin-based schools (www.kippaustin.org) — MULTIPLE LOCATIONS (EAST, SOUTH, and NORTH AUSTIN)

We are now hiring for a variety of food services positions for the 2018-19 school year and have open positions in schools throughout the Austin area, including South Austin, East Austin, and North Austin. All positions are weekday, day-time hours — no nights, weekends, or holidays!

We have the following opportunities available:

-Cafeteria Specialist
-Barista
-Porter
-Front of House Supervisor
-Kitchen Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation and cleanliness.
• City of Austin Food Handlers card required for some positions
• Requires moderate physical effort. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team.
• Must be self-motivated and able to problem solve effectively.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, is proactive and flexible, and is willing and able to play different roles in the kitchen in order to meet the varied and constant needs of the students at KIPP Austin.
• Model positive and healthy character traits and habits, such as being organized, consistent and understanding.
• Unquestioned integrity and commitment to the KIPP Austin mission and KIPP Austin community.
• Bilingual a plus

COMPENSATION: ~$9.00 to $15.00/hour based on position applying to and level of relevant experience
