Stake Chophouse – Bartender / Saute Cook (Coronado)

Stake Chophouse and Bar, prominently situated in the heart of Coronado’s iconic village, is located at 1309 Orange Avenue and offers San Diegans and visitors alike a modern take on the classic chophouse of decades past. We are proud to serve high quality product including both domestic and Japanese Wagyu, along with excellent seafood offerings.

Also, our extensive spirits list and eclectic cocktail program elevate the dining experience, whether guests are dining in the main dining room or on our heated patio overlooking Orange Avenue.

Stake is currently seeking both an experienced full-time bartender with extensive knowledge in food, wine, mixology, and spirits; and a experience fine dining saute cook.

The ideal BAR candidate will be:

Well versed in upscale restaurant steps of service . Outgoing, enthusiastic, hospitable
– Experienced in all classic cocktail builds.
– Proficient in mixology, shrubs/syrups/infusions, and creating new cocktails.
– At least 21 years of age

Saute Cook:
– 2 years experience in a fine dining kitchen
– ability to follow recipes, plate specs and have full working knowledge of classical technique

All Staff:
• Dependable, reliable, and willing to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including
nights, weekends and holidays
• Patient, outgoing, friendly, and possess the ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a way that is positive and professional
• Able to take constructive feedback and actively participate in a team environment

• Able to lift and carry 40 pounds up to 25 feet, and can perform repetitive motions: lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing and reaching
• Able to multi-task, focus, prioritize and stay organized
• Experienced with micros POS.
