BARISTAS
Are you passionate about serving a quality cup every time? Schmackary’s, a Hell’s Kitchen based cookie company with a strong and growing coffee program, is looking for an experienced barista with an awesome personality to add to our team. We’re currently looking for PT/FT baristas who are driven to develop their skill in the craft and don’t shy away from a manual espresso machine. We hold our Baristas to high standards for quality of drinks, regular cleaning/maintaining of Barista equipment, as well as providing excellent customer service. Ability to consistently produce latte art is expected. Oh, and we hope you like cookies too.

TEAM LEADERS
Want to grow with us??? Our company is growing fast and we are looking for people who want to join the ride and help take Schmackary’s to the next level and beyond. Experience in bakery/cafe leadership is a must! Schmackary’s employees are customer service masters in addition to being cookie connoisseurs! In order to fit in with our awesome team, you must be friendly, attentive to detail, work well with a fun team in a fast-paced environment and exhibit exceptionally high standards for cleanliness, organization and customer service. You must be a self-starter and not afraid to take charge of a team and keep all cylinders running smoothly. We are looking for future managers who demonstrate the same enthusiasm and passion we have for our cookie and coffee program, and want to learn and share why we do what we do.

The ability to deliver stellar customer service – even when there is a queue of drinks or a line out the door – is necessary. A positive attitude goes a long way and good communication skills are a must.

We are looking for people who know how to actually hold a conversation and TALK to people. If you are currently yelling “next in line” at your current job, you’re probably not a great fit for us. We want workers with a pulse (Yeah girl, I’m talking to you. The one who’s working at Duane Reade and hasn’t made eye contact with me once during this transaction…).

Prior experience (1-2 yrs.) in the food service industry is required, preferably with an independent bakery, coffee shop, cafe or similar establishment (i.e., not fast food).
