$17.08 per hour / 6 days per week / 1.5 hours per day / 10:30 AM Start Time

Job Summary
Custodian will have the primary responsibility for cleaning retail locations. It is the role of the Custodian will be required to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and should have the required skills and abilities to perform defined service tasks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Follows and completes a daily, weekly and monthly and annual cleaning schedule. These duties include:
Collects all garbage and/or recyclables from the assigned locations and places them in the correct disposal dumpster
Disinfects and cleans garbage cans, and changes liners daily
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with germicidal solution
Wet mops all washable floors as specified in schedule including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, office areas and storage areas
Cleans glass and/or windows (inside and outside) when required
Cleans office areas and building entrances and walls using designated cleaning solution as scheduled or needed
Vacuums all carpeted areas as specified in schedule
Sweeps and clears entrance areas
Dust-mops corridors
Dusts, cleans and sanitizes other surfaces as specified in schedule
Performs other cleaning duties as specified in schedule
Refills paper towel, toilet paper and hand soap in all dispensers
Fills out and maintains housekeeping log according to schedule
Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested
Attends and participates in worksite safety and in-service training
Performs other duties as assigned
Reports the following to the Supervisor or designated staff person:
Need for cleaning supplies or equipment repair in advance
Water leaks, and other maintenance needs
All other health and safety hazards noticed

Desired Experience/Education
Experience in the custodial field
Knowledge of proper cleaning methods

Additional Requirements
Must be able to comply and pass a background check as required by the contract
Must have vehicle and proof of insurance
Must be able to physically move through the worksite
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying and pushing
Wearing of protective equipment, such as latex gloves, per OSHA regulations is required
Ability to work independently
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
