Au Cheval New York City is hiring Line Cooks and Dishwashers for Opening Team!

Open Call Interviews Wednesday, February 6th through Thursday, February 7th 12pm – 1:30pm. Open Call will be hosted at 4 Charles Prime Rib – 4 Charles St, New York, NY 10014

Open Call Details: During the Open Call expect a 5-15 minute interview where you will get to meet with various leaders of our Hogsalt Leadership team. Please come prepared with any questions you may have about the position you are interested in.

Chicago’s nationally acclaimed Diner Au Cheval is gaining a sibling in New York City. Au Cheval, located in Tribeca, is seeking Line Cooks and Dishwashers to join the opening team. Serving coffee, lunch and dinner, Au Cheval dishes up traditional diner fare reimagined with a passion for eggs, a yen for other cuisines, a dash of sophistication, and a dollop of humor. Guests will find an emphasis on quality, playfulness and generosity — both on the plate and in spirit — as they indulge in items such as General Jane’s chicken, roasted bone marrow, chopped chicken liver and the griddle’s signature cheeseburger.

Line Cooks: Pay rates are $18-$25/hr based on experience.
Dishwashers: Pay rates are $15-$17/hr based on experience.

Both Au Chevals are part of Brendan Sodikoff’s Hogsalt, which includes 4 Charles Prime Rib, Sawada Coffee, Bavette’s, Doughnut Vault, Gilt Bar, Green Street Smoked Meats, High Five Ramen, Maude’s Liquor Bar and 3 Greens Market.

We are looking for hardworking unique individuals who are able to multitask, have tons of energy, a strong work ethic, a team player mindset and most importantly love to connect with guests and hospitality. Must have open availability including evenings and weekends. We value stability, longevity and encourage growth within our company.

Vintage tile and iron and brick frame a long zinc counter for guests who want a front-row seat to the bustling open kitchen. Plush leather booths and banquettes promise a more relaxed experience under the glow of lamps fashioned from antique brass and prismatic glass. Vintage reel-to-reel tape provides a warm, upbeat soundtrack that reaches into every corner, while the bar pours classic cocktails including the Horse’s Neck, Vieux Bonal, and Hemingway’s Daiquiri. A robust draught beer and cider list brings together a wide range of neighborhood, domestic, and international selections.
