We are hiring a live in chef to work the summer (approximately mid-July through September) for a mature couple with a beautiful home on the coast of Maine.
This position requires a flexible, good-natured team player who gets along well with pets (2 small dogs), visiting grandchildren and adults. Daily planning, shopping and meal prep for this executive couple and their house guests. The number of meals and guests per day will vary. Housekeeper and server will assist when necessary.
Employer gives freedom and creativity to the chef to create appropriate menus, but prefer fresh, low fat, upscale cuisine.
Valid driver’s license and background check required. Must be a non-smoker. Employer provides one time travel to/from Maine in addition to contracted rate, room and meals at the residence. One day off per week is coordinated with other house staff and employer.
