In this position you will be responsible for preparing menu and certifying all items are adhering to recipe and quality standards. Job Responsibilities

As a Chef you will be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to the guest, establishing and updating additions in recipe files and ensuring proper execution of recipe procedures to maintain consistency. In addition, you will be accountable for completing and reviewing production sheets with manager and completing them daily to effectively perform purchasing and production plans.

Additional duties for this food service management role include:

  • Placing orders of food and supplies based on production and business needs
  • Operating and completing weekly financial report to manager
  • Maintaining high standards of sanitation and implementing cleaning schedule
  • Assigning and completing required preparation for work a day ahead
  • Validating proper rotation of all products and stocks and verifying inventory to best use inventory and leftovers to achieve budgeted food cost
  • Developing contemporary breakfast and lunch cycle menu, seasonal items and customer favorites as well as catering menus
  • Analyzing food costs per meal and work with manager to set prices on new items
  • Keeping manager fully informed of any unusual matter or issues to take a proper action
  • Assisting in serving guests and other kitchen member with cleaning
  • Maintaining standardize recipe and adhering to compliance regulations
  • Investigating problems in sanitation and safety issues to develop action plans for improvement
  • Monitoring food preparation and quality production to ensure all meals are accurately served, displayed and packaged

Job Requirements

We are looking for a Chef with solid understanding of food service management and exceptional multi-tasking abilities to effectively establish consistency in all accounts with the recipes. It is important that you display advanced verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to develop positive working relationships with the staff and upper management.

Specific qualifications for this food service management role include:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid ServeSafe certification
  • Prior experience in food service management and quality food production
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office pack
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and bend up to 50 pounds and to comfortably walk-in freezers and coolers
  • Any relevant experience , a plus
