Responsibilities

Exemplifies the Bistro Restaurant Mission by providing a holistic experience for our customers by integrating sustainability, wellness, diverse menu choices in a warm, welcoming environment that nourishes mind, body and soul. Models the Bistro Restaurant Vision with an intent to provide a unique and world-class dining and service experience by embracing the casual nuances of a bistro atmosphere and Mediterranean cuisine, while using only the finest, freshest ingredients, artfully prepared in recipes designed to engage all of your senses. Manages and advises multi-site leaders in business strategies to meet expected departmental goals, to include use of the latest technology and regulatory requirements. Ensures patron satisfaction by monitoring all service offerings, initiating improvements and building relationships with patrons. Plans and monitors retail and catering revenue/expenses within budgetary limits. Coordinates with inter/intra-departmental purchasing and external vendors. Oversees retail and culinary staff to maximize productivity, minimize waste, and ensure consistently high-quality products to guests. Responsible for compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Standards (HACCP), ServSafe, State and JCAHO standards. Maintains a good working knowledge of food service systems and retail restaurant services.

Required Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College degree is preferred; Associate’s or Bachelor’s of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable from an accredited institution. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.

Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: ServeSafe certification.

Required Minimum Experience: Three (3) years service level experience in management is required.

Required Minimum Skills: Must have comprehensive knowledge of management principles, regulatory affairs, planning and Performance Improvement (PI). The individual must be able to communicate and provide verbal and written presentations to Bistro leadership in a professional manner. Demonstrate a working knowledge and competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
