Hourly sous chef for small 68 seat restaurant in the financial district. Open from 4-10 Mondays and from 1130-10 on weekday with Friday and Saturday closing at 11.
Must be hard working, willing to learn, able to take direction, and general willingness to help in all aspects of the kitchen.
Since we are a small place everyone works together to help bring out the best in us. This means that the head chef and the other sous both help clean/break down stations, do prep, put away orders, etc…
Experience with breaking down fish/chicken/meat is preferred but not necessary, will teach the right person.
Must have your own knives, and take good care of them. You can tell a lot about how serious a person is in this business by how they treat their tools.
We’re a fun place, we dont take ourselves too seriously, love to laugh and enjoy working with each other, but we all make sure our jobs are done on time and in a professional manner.
Wage starts at $16 an hour but is negotiable depending on experience.
Wanted for at least 32hours a week but can provide up to 50 if wanted/needed
