Catering Cooks (Southeast Austin)

Local catering company in South Austin seeking experienced cooks with a passion for serving high quality food. A firm grasp of culinary foundations and skills is essential to this role, but willing to train the right candidate if needed. Punctuality, team player attitude, and reliability is required for this position. This position will assist fellow staff with food preparation, completing catering orders, cleaning facility, and maintaining equipment as needed. Part-time/Full-Time help needed.

Essential Duties:

-Set-up kitchen with a high level of attention to catering orders, prep and ensuring all prepared food is completed on time. Time management, communication, and organizational skills are essential to this role.

-Execute meals and prep, and clean dishes as needed.

-Organize, clean, and maintain workflow for quality, safety, and efficiency

-Maintain equipment and facility

-Maintain clear communication between our Kitchen Managers

Qualifications:

-1-3 years of scratch kitchen experience preferred, catering experience a plus.

-Fundamental knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.

-Team Oriented and Self Starter Attitude

Requirements:

-Food Handlers Certificate

-Team Oriented and Self Starter Attitude

– Cook: 2+ years

-Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet.

-Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50lbs

-Valid Driver’s License, and reliable transportation.
