Cottonwood Restaurant is an established upscale restaurant on the hilltop that overlooks historic downtown Truckee. We specialize in seasonal, scratch cooking and are a favorite year round dinner spot and bar for locals and visitors alike.
We have an immediate opening for an Acting Head Chef to work with our sous chef managing day to day activities in the kitchen and being responsible for cost controls, workplace food safety, sanitary and safety standards, as well as, being a hands-on working chef. This position reports to our owners and works with our leadership team to focus on the vision and objectives of the restaurant.
Our current chef was recently injured in a ski accident and is unable to perform his duties. We are looking for an individual with experience as a working chef or senior kitchen manager in an upscale casual or fine dining restaurant. This temporary position offers an opportunity to work with a committed team and live in the beautiful Lake Tahoe/Truckee area.
Temporary housing available if you are from outside the Truckee area.
